Get Involved

AfroScience is a community-powered educational platform. The scientists profiled, institutions listed, and stories told here grow richer with every contribution — and you can be part of it.

Pathway 01

Contribute content

Every scientist profile, institutional listing, and correction on AfroScience represents someone’s contribution. Here are the ways you can help expand and improve the record.

1
Suggest a Scientist Profile
Know a Black scientist — historical or contemporary — who isn’t yet in the AfroScience Encyclopedia? Submit their name, field, and any sources you have. Our editors will research and publish a verified profile.
2
Propose an Institution
Help us build the most complete directory of Black scientific institutions ever assembled. If you know of a university, lab, hub, or STEM organization that should be listed, let us know.
3
Submit a Correction
Found an error, missing date, inaccurate description, or outdated information? Please share supporting sources and we will correct it publicly and quickly. Accuracy depends on your vigilance.
4
Write as a Guest Contributor
Educators, researchers, and science communicators are welcome to contribute articles, profiles, and explainers. All guest contributions are reviewed by our editorial team before publication.
Pathway 02

Partner with us

AfroScience actively seeks collaborations with institutions, organisations, and programs that share our commitment to making Black scientific achievement visible and expanding STEM education in Black communities worldwide.

Whether it’s co-publishing content, cross-promoting resources, or building joint programs — let’s talk about what we can create together.

03
Research Institutions

Aligned organisations working to expand STEM access and opportunity in Black communities.
05
Youth Programs
After-school programs, youth organisations, and community initiatives working with young scientists and STEM learners. We want to bring AfroScience Kids and our educational resources directly into the spaces where young people are.

Every profile added, every correction made, every scientist named — is an act of resistance against erasure.
