Editorial Policy & Sources

AfroScience is committed to high standards of accuracy and transparency. Every biography, article, and resource we publish is held to a consistent editorial standard.

Our Commitment
We prioritize verifiable sources, correct errors publicly, and welcome the scientific community to help us improve.
Our Standards
What we expect of every piece of content on AfroScience.
1
Reliable Sources First We prioritize academic institutions, peer-reviewed publications, reputable media, official biographies, and archives as the backbone of every profile and article.
2
Transparency on Uncertainty When sources conflict, we note the uncertainty openly — and update the record when better documentation becomes available.
3
Public & Swift Corrections We correct errors publicly and quickly. No silent edits — our credibility depends on accountability.
How We Work
References
Citations & References

Many profiles include a dedicated references section. We encourage all contributors to provide sources and links to primary documentation wherever possible.

When primary sources are unavailable, we note the gap and indicate the level of verification achieved.
